Mission Statement

Mission Statement- A summary describing the aims, values, and overall plan of an organization or individual.

As a leader in middle school ministry, I find it a necessity to be an example of how a Christian teen should act. Every where I go I find at least one person who has seen me at my church, adults and students alike, but mostly students. I am constantly being watched and I can assume that most of the time I am unaware of who is watching. As I live my life at school, church, home , and on the streets, I often find myself wondering what I am living for, what my purpose is on this earth, what is my mission statement. Jeremiah 29:11 Says “For I know the plans I have for you. Plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” You see God already knows our plans for our life, but the real question is, do you. We all have goals we wish to accomplish in life yes, but what do you live for on a daily basis, what is your mission statement, what is the overall plan for your life to further the kingdom of God. On May 22, 2007 in my weekly student leader meeting I was given the opportunity to write a mission statement of my own and I am going to share it with you. Everyday I wake up I read this to myself and I ask the lord to help me live accordingly, then I put in my wallet and carry it with me everywhere I go. So here it is….” I am to live out my life to the fullest for God, and to be the best that I can be for him. To have integrity beyond capacity. To bear fruit that is attractive to those who do not know my father. I am to be committed to God, to others, and to the ministry so that I may live out the plan that God has for me. I am to dig into my word every day and be in continuous prayer. I am to live out the call on my life to become a pastor and share the love with the bind. To live focused on what God wants, not what I want. To always be ready for what life throws at me and never give up. My mission is that I am what I say I am every where I go, and that I reflect what is inside of on the outside. My mission is to have a heart that I am not ashamed of. I am to love God all my life and never forget what he has done for me. To be a Christian 24/7 and to surrender everything everyday. S.E.E. My prayer for you is that you take the time to write your own mission statement and may you live out that life to the fullest for his kingdom and his glory. Lord I pray right now for those who have read this, Lord may they be with you for all their lives and may they encourage others to follow after you. May they put aside all the problems that happened this week and focus on you. Lord I pray for safety and protection. Lord help us all to live for you and to surrender everything to you, Lord help us to die to ourselves and take up our cross. Lord you are truly amazing and may you be blessed and glorified.
